Thanks, I went to drive the car. I like the ASX model, it is comfortable and the trunk is good.

I play guitar and it is important to me that the trunk width can take a full guitar lenght. ASX can take it, unlike Vitara or Peugeot 2008. Which both have narrow trunks.

But this specific one is just in too ugly condition, engine seems OK and it is nice to drive. But I feel the fuel consumption is more than it should be.

Both side mirrors plastic was broken and glued badly. The compartment between the seats has a broken lid. I feel that the past owner was just too clumsy and didn't care.

I just feel 9000€ is too much. Especially considering that the auto salon doesn't provide any warranty on this car. So that way I'm better off finding a private sale.

I think I'll wash my Astra for now and wait for a good opportunity. There is one Benzin 1.6 for 12000€ imported from DE, but it is a bit too far from where I live.

Maybe I'll follow others and make a trip to Germany and buy a car there... Anyway I'm not satisfied what the local auto salons have to offer.

I tried searching the Internet, but it is all mixed up. I hate these modern automatic AI generated sites. I'm never sure about the reliability of the info.

I'll go there tomorrow, drive the car and take the VIN number, look at the service diary, etc. If everything looks right, I'll do one more check with my mechanic and maybe then I'll buy I like the looks, I think it is spacious inside for what it is and the trunk space is quite important to me. I'd be best off with a bigger car for that matter, but parking here would be an issue if I had a 450+cm car.

As the ASX is not very common here, I'm a bit worried about availability of spare parts. I read that the Citroën Aircross and Peugeot 4008 are the same cars. Maybe I look up in Citroen and Peugeot stores, are these parts interchangeable?

I do 300km a week of open road, around 25000km yearly. It is a 70-100kmh ride. I think diesel might be ok, although I never had one. Although, I'm okay with my current gasoline car as it doesn't drink a too much and it is cheap maintenence. I'll go for a test drive and see how it drives

Also I would appreciate to hear what kind of approx. yearly maintenance cost should I expect. Maybe if someone remembers what happens at 90000km service and the cost.

I see that your community is pretty active. And I'm in Croatia, you drive similar models in Germany. In English I only find US or UK sites and they always have different models.

I found a used 2015 ASX (88000km) at dealer shop. It's price would be 9500€ and I think I might be able to negotiate a bit lower.

I went to see it but still didn't make a test drive. I'll probably go in one or two days. I like how it looks and interior is like new. Apparently it was owned by an older gentleman who was driving it around town, probably with short country trips. It has quite a few scratches on the outside, but nothing deep. It was serviced at Mitsubishi service regularly.

So I'm asking your opinion if that might an ok purchase. And also please say if there are any problems with this particular model that I should be aware of. It is a 10 year old car after all, so I'm not sure should it be reliable.

Here in Croatia cars are always a bit more expensive than Germany. Some people even go to Germany to buy their cars.

Currently I have an 2008 Opel Astra G twinport which is indestructible no real problems in these 15 years and 320000km I owned it. (Still factory kupplung)

But my wives car is going bad often so we need another one. Unfortunately we need to have 2 cars to go to work.
